What ends up happening if you don’t purchase the correct equipment is that people will click off your video before the end, you will get lower conversions, and ultimately you will be much less apt to engage with people who watch your videos. If it sounds like your talking into a tin can and if the picture quality is not very good then you don’t have as good of an opportunity to connect with your audience.

Foam Green Screen
This stuff is the best. Get about 4 yards of it for your online video marketing. All you have to do is put it up on your wall with thumbtacks. It doesn’t wrinkle and it absorbs the light so the green screen effect is easy to get correct and it looks awesome.
Lavalier Microphone
Camera
Great camera for the price. It has a microphone in so you can use the lavalier mic with it and it is very easy to use.
Tripod
Great tripod for the money. It’s what I use. It is easy to use and lightweight also.
LIghting
This is the best lighting system that I know of and it is the system that I use personally. This set up is a little pricey at about $500 but the lights do not burn hot and the softboxes are well made.

Less Expensive Lighting
This might not be the best lighting but if you need lighting and are not going to be doing green screen then this is a great solution.
Wide Angle Lens
You don’t have to get this adapter but if you really want to pan out when your doing your online video markteing then this lens will help you do it.
